The prevalent drought in Mutomo district calls for prioritization of water projects that will enhance the supply of and accessibility to clean water, safe and potable water to both human and livestock consumption. Projects in this category are implemented to alleviate the acute water scarcity in the region through a reduction of distance and turn round time for reaching and drawing water from water sources through sinking of boreholes, piping and extensions, construction of rock catchments and water tanks for communities and schools. We also support the construction of water tanks for individual households and the provision of water filters for the treatment of unclean and saline water which is considered too salty and unsafe for consumption or irrigation. Over 200 water tanks, 4 boreholes, water cleaners, one handpump, one earth dam, 5 water kiosk and 2 pipeline extensions.
